What We Do Proceeds from events are donated to local organizations and charities.
Following is a list of local charities that have received donations in past years:
The club was started about twenty years ago between some friends that had a friendly rivalry for the best barbeque.
With a little planning and support from local businesses, the small group of cookers got together on a warm sunny afternoon and began barbequing chicken and asked passers-by to judge.
With the sunset, the first barbeque cook-off was in the history books.

Club Info Who We Are
Officers
The Dripping Springs Cook Off Club is a strong non-profit organization supporting numerous organizations in Dripping Springs. Club members frequently donates "cooking time and expertise" to local events, and have always played a major role in the spirit of Founders Day. The DS Cook Off Club strives to maintain the success and enjoyment of each celebration.
The DS Cook Off Club donates its profits back to the community and, over the years, has given extra funds to Helping Hands, the Senior Citizens Activity Center, North Hays County Fire Department, Hays Country Crime Prevention Program, EMS, Dripping Springs Youth Sports Association, and purchased animals from 4-H Livestock Show youths. Thanks to the efforts and determination of all participants, since 1996 the DS Cook Off Club has given back more than $12,000 and will continue to support Dripping Springs in the coming years and keep the Founders Day Festival going strong.
